Women still make up only 23% of golfers. Of the women that quit the game, 25% of them do so because they couldn’t find anyone to play with. There aren’t enough avenues for women to get involved in the game and it is an intimidating environment. This is why we formed The Women’s Golf Company. We create non-intimidating atmospheres for learning golf as well as provide competition for the avid, low-handicap golfer.
Gail Glass
Upon graduating from The University of Texas at Austin in 1982, I began my career in the accounting world as a CPA—starting in a large public accounting firm in tax and then moving into industry—real estate and energy. Wanting to add something a little more exciting to my life, I discovered the wonderful world of golf in about 1989—and have been addicted ever since! The game has brought me much pleasure and has been great in developing both long lasting friendships and business relationships.
I have had three Holes-in-One and my handicap over the last 10 years has fluctuated between a 6 and a 12. I have had many instructors over the years in the continual search for perfection—ha! I love the challenges that this game gives us…and will keep coming back for more!

I started playing golf at the age of 35 (10 years ago) and I love everything about it. The game is incredibly challenging, maddening and enormously rewarding. Making my goal of becoming a single digit handicap (a 6 at one time) was a huge achievement that gave me great pride (I am now a 12…like I said, it’s maddening).
